The Mexicolas sounds an exotic name and you wouldn't be a fool to suspect they were from Mexico. Nope they are brummies and they don't make fast acoustic spanish-style music. They have a rockier sound, think Foo Fighters cross-fusioned with Stereophonics and a sprinkle of Incubus and you have Mexicolas. So before the useless washed-up journos at Kerrang pick them up and go into overhyping mode have a listen.
