I know this will be controversial but i love Coldplay's new album a lot. Perhaps it has something to do with being produced by Brian Eno who i loved in Roxy Music and he is a wizard when it comes to producing. Viva La Vida And Death Or All His Friends (mouthful) is amazing, it has Coldplay's signature downbeat lyrics but there is a sense of optimism and a feeling of warmth and richness to this album. Coldplay have also discovered strings for this album, with songs like Viva La Vida and Violet Hill relying heavily on this new sound.
